One of the things that makes Victoriana different from most stores is that we buy locally and from a network of finders and locaters around the globe. Each piece in our store is chosen one by one. David Prebble, the buyer for the store, has been buying antiques at Victoriana for the past 30 years and offers a fair price structure on pieces of interest. If your jewelry is outside the realm of something the store would be willing to pay, we do some consignment on a case by case basis. If you have recently inherited jewelry, have something that you would like to sell, or just want to get an idea of what we might pay for a piece, we encourage you to bring it by when Dave is in the store on M, T, Th, and Fridays. Please note, that we typically do not buy contemporary jewelry as antiquity is our theme.
If you are in need of an insurance appraisal, you are more than welcome to drop your piece(s) off during any of our business hours with a turn around time of 2-3 business days. You can rest assured while your property is covered under our insurance policy during the time that it is in our care, but you must have a declared value upon drop off.
Insurance appraisals begin at $85.00 with a charge of $35.00 for each additional piece.
We offer a limited range or repair options on jewelry, and the pricing for such varies depending on the amount of work that may need to be done to get your damaged jewelry back to its original state. Feel free to come in with your ring sizing, stone-setting, and repairs in general and let us take a look. Please note that we do not do custom design work at our shop, but would be more than happy to refer to you the appropriate designer if you are looking for something specific.
